Advising that develops autonomy, agency, and good judgment
I work with students through one-on-one conversations on academic and extracurricular direction, college list and application strategy, and essays/interviews. Students lead decisions and complete their own work at their own pace; I provide perspective, structure, candid feedback, and strategic judgment.
How we work
My advising process moves from reflection to strategy to execution, helpfing students make thoughtful decisions and take ownership of the process.
Clarify priorities
Helping students identify what matters most in their learning, commitments, goals, and use of time.
Make informed choices
Using those priorities to guide academic and extracurricular decisions, build a thoughtful college list, and develop a clear application strategy.
Communicate with authenticity
Supporting students as they build captsone projects, develop essays, prepare for interviews, and present themselves in a way that feels honest, ambitious, and grounded.
Who it’s for
My advising is for curious, motivated students willing to participate actively, reflect honestly, and take increasing ownership of their decisions. My advising demands engagement and a desire for intellectual rigor.
My advising services also work best for families who value thoughtful guidance, student independence, and a process built around autonomy, agency, and judgment rather than control of the outcome.
